The Challenge

The project involved integrating multiple business-critical systems and external partners into a single operational ecosystem. Key challenges included:

  • Ensuring seamless sales, inventory, and fulfillment workflows across different applications and platforms.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete data synchronization between the sales application, ERP system, EDI interfaces, and 3rd party warehouse management system.
  • Preventing transaction delays that could impact customer order processing and product delivery.
  • Coordinating requirements and expectations across multiple business departments, vendors, and third-party logistics providers.
  • Ensuring reliable and stable API and OSB integrations to support continuous business operations.

Strategic Solution

To address these challenges, a comprehensive integration and governance strategy was implemented:

  • Designed and managed end-to-end business processes connecting the sales platform, JD Edwards ERP, EDI interfaces, and DHL WMOS environment.
  • Established clear data validation and reconciliation mechanisms to ensure data integrity across all connected systems.
  • Led cross-functional workshops to align business requirements, operational procedures, and system design.
  • Coordinated closely with technical teams, vendors, and DHL stakeholders to validate interface reliability and transaction accuracy.
  • Implemented rigorous testing, issue management, and deployment controls to minimize operational risks and ensure a smooth go-live.
  • Integrated JD Edwards with the local sales application through APIs and middleware services, enabling efficient and automated data exchange.
